Over the past 10 years, Cubik have offered EMC test and debug capability, helping many businesses meet the compliance requirement to place a product on the market. We have used a number of different measurement solutions for Radiated Emissions and Radiated immunity included our Semi-anechoic chamber, pictured in many of our company images. This SAC is great but is limited in capacity, meaning products larger than a shoe-box will not fit.

After much scouring of the markets, Paul decided to settle on a reverberation chamber. This method of measurement has many advantages over SAC for Radiated testing, the most significant is the removal of the need to rotate the Equipment under Test (EUT). We opted for a chamber with a moderate capacity, the selected unit has a door of 1000mm square, making it possible to test much larger equipment than before.

Comparative measurements against a number of local test labs show good correlation of results for both radiated Immunity and Radiated Emissions. This new tool will offer higher workflow and capacity for debug of larger products.
